VIVIEN OF HOLLOWAY DAISIES GINGHAM DRESS

I wouldn't have believed it, but it has now come to this...
I am selling away my Vivien of Holloway circle dress. Sigh.

I totally love it and the whole idea of it, but turns out I have only worn it properly only twice.
I will wash it for the first time now before sending it away.

The dress is a VoH 14 and the measurements for this dress, taken from the VoH site, are:
Waist - 28 inches
Bust - 36 inches
Hip - free
The skirt is 27 inches.

The top is boned for a great fit.
The dress is all-cotton gingham and fastens with a zipper in the back. There are daisies printed on the fabric.

The bolero is size S, runs somewhat large; fits my EUR 38 frame well.

It's made of a nice, firm stretch cotton blend; 50% cotton and 50% polyester.

Price : 55 euros
With the bolero : 65 euros
(the belt and petticoat in the pictures are not incuded)

OK; hands down, I LOVE THESE! Love love love. But they are too big for me and won't stay properly on. I actually bought the smaller ones first but they again were too small. Alas, these were not meant to be... Otherwise they'd be pretty comfy as the heel is firm and there is a hidden platform. These are from H&M a couple of years back. My most comfy shoes, the red ones that are wearing out totally after five years are actually form H&M!

They are about 24cm long.

The sole and heel is plastic and the kind of tweed like with golden lurex thread interlaced.

I have worn these only a couple of times; the condition is very good.

CIRCLE SKIRT IN BIG GINHAM

You may remember this skirt from a few years back; a Gina Tricot red and white skirt that I coloured into something of a 'steelish' grey blue and raspberry. It is pretty hard to capture to colours on photo, but they are kind of matte and gives a vintage feel. The seams are white. It is a circle skirt made out of four pieces.

The skirt fastens with a zipper and three white buttons in the side or back (depends on how you want it).

I am only selling this skirt due to a sudden urge to lighten my wardrobe; I love this one!
But as I have not worn it in quite some time it has to go.
Oh, the cruelness of the world.

Material : 100% Cotton, no stretch. Can be machine washed.

I'm selling away my Tara Starlet 40's shirt dres!

I got one size smaller than usual due to the fact my own size was sold out which resulted in me not wearing it more than just a couple of times, it was a little bit too tight to feel totally comfortable in. I have broad shouldrs and that was the problem.

I haven't had the heart to sell it before as I really adore everything about it especially the pattern combined with the black and white gingham trim and matching belt. The dress is no longer available at Tara Starlet. If you're like me (see the sidebar for details) or up to two sizes smaller this should fit you as you can chinch in the belt and this dress will look good, better actually if not skin tight.

TARA STARLET MUSICAL NOTE CIRCLE SKIRT

You know one should never buy clothing that is a little bit too small, if one ever really wants to use it...
I've had this skirt only once, but it is unfortunately too small for me in the waist to be able to wear comfortably.
It is pretty however so it's a shame!

The skirt has an attached belt in the waist and an musical note embroidery on the right side.
Brand is Tara Starlet.

Measurements, actual:
waist: 70-71cm

Length : 70cm

Material : 100% heavy cotton (no stretch), plastic belt buckle.

Zip- and button fastening in the back.

The skirt has only been worn once! It has had a little accident however, a small cut in the fabric in the waist band (about 4 cm) just in front.
I have fixed it with a black zig zag seam. It is behind the belt buckle so it won't show or notice, I couldn't really get a proper photo of it either.

VINTGE LACE DRESS

Vintage green sheer dress with black lace. It has a small tag that says SILO and size 40 - well, I would've said 36.

I adore this dress, but personally I prefer dresses that are slightly longer. I was planning to add some lace or whatever to the hem to make it longer, but as that has not happened during those three years I've had this dress, I've just decided to let it go - I'm sure someone else will enjoy this more! I am a few kilos more, eh, voluptuous now than when that picture was taken and it still fits me, although it is more tight now. But it does make the body look beautiful! IN other words, if you are smaller than me it will still look nice as this dress does not have to be skin tight.

Material : chiffon like, soft feel, most likely polyester. No stretch.

Measurements, flat:
Lenght (shoulder to hem): 87cm
Bust : 43cm
Waist: 36cm
Hips: 47

Conditon: used, without flaws.
I repaired part of the lower hem when I bought it, my stitches are not that even but they only show on the inside.

(My measurements in inches are around 36-28-40, sometimes a bit more, so around those or anything smaller will fit at least :)

ROSEBUD SKIRT

This bone white skirt is big and puffy, although not a full circle skirt. It has pleats a bit wodn from the the waist for a beautiful hemline and a slightly slimmer look upwards. It is a tiny little bit too big for me in the waist, but I've chinced it in with a belt; the skirt has two belt loops in front. Zipper and button loop fastening in the side.

The brand is Jackpot. The quality is good (retail price was around 80 euros).

Size : 32. The sizing is generous, as I am normally a EUR 36 or 38.
(I think it is perhaps meant to be worn lower on the hip, but I keep it high waisted, thus the small size.)

I'm selling this waist cincher in peach from What Katie Did since it's too big for me. I've only used it a couple of times and it has been washed only once (hand wash of course) before selling. I'm selling away the booties I revamped last winter! Their soft texture can't really take the salted soggy streets of climate change warmed Helsinki I'm afraid, and keeping them just in case this winter has a slight percentage of being a dry one seems like a pity since they'd most likely remain unworn. (This is of course coming from a person who has a closet and hall filled with shoes shoes shoes who nowadays has to be over-rational, so my fellow Finnish girls: of course you can give these a shot! ) The shoes can take up to a few degrees C below zero, but avoid wearing them when raining. I have sprayed them with protection spray last year.

The booties are actually quite comfy even though the heel is thin. They are only used a couple of times, the edge of the heels shows some sign of usage from walking around but are otherwise in a real nice condition. The bows are sewn on to small safety pins that are well hidden and won't fall off. I'm wearing them in this picture if you want to see how they look on the foot.

The dress has a frock in the back so it will stretch and give a good fit. It is slightly tulip shaped, giving some room for the hips. It has practical pockets in the side. The fabric is black but woven into a striped texture to resemble suit fabric. It has a zipper and hidden button in the side. (Spare buttons still attached inside of dress). The buttons in the front are decorative and will not open. The shoulder straps are adjustable. Someone slightly bigger than me will fill this dress out nicely, but a smaller girl could of course wear it in another puffier way, perhaps adding a thick belt to the waist or so...

The basic cost for shipping small packages from 0 to 500 g within Europe are 4,20€ and from 500g to one kilo 7,60€. Elsewhere in the world the cost is 8,80 and 15,95. If it goes over one kilo it's so expensive I don't want o write it out. But that's for priority mail.

For economy mail, which will take about twice as long (over 7 days to deliver) the princes are much nicer: within Europe € 3,45 / € 6,20 (<500g / <1000g), overseas 4,90 / 7,20. For parcels between one and two kilos the cost within Europe is 12€ and anywhere else 13,50. Then there will be €1,50 (dresses)/ 2,40 (shoes) added for proper packing!

BLUE GINHAM SUMMER DRESS

Oh my. I really do like this dress but I haven't worn it for too long so here it goes. I think some of you may remember it from last year...

This is a comfy cotton dress that will make you feel like Alice in Wonderland or Dorothy from Oz :)The fabric is soft and stretchy. It's straps are adjustable and removable in the back, so you can choose to tie it halter-neck style, or fold them down, since the dress will stay up without straps. There is a ribbon at both sides of the waist that you can tie either int the front or the back of the dress. The back has elastic shirring for a good fit, and will stretch quite a lot to fit a fuller bust or broader back. It will fit someone slightly bigger than me but also look good on a smaller girl, due to the stretchy back and ribbons in the waist.

I have used this dress a couple of times after which I have washed it once, so it is in good condition.

If you read my blog you may know that I every now and then might worry a little bit about the endless flow of things coming in and little to nothing coming out of my closet. So now I've decided to put a few things up here for sale. Not my best dresses, of course not, but neither those never-to-wear again things that have been stuffed in my "ebay bag" for years... I'm letting go of those things I've noticed that I don't wear enough, and it might hurt a little bit since I'm very bad at letting things go...

This is a dress i fought hard for on ebay last summer, only to find it was a liiiittle bit too snug for me around the shoulders, and a little bit too short for my taste. But it is cute as hell though, with covered buttons and ruffles in front. It comes with a belt/ribbon that you can tie around the waist or into a pussy bow around the neck. There is a green v-neck slip underneath (attached to dress at the shoulders but can be removed). The dress is light and flowing like viscose, the slip has a softer feel to it. It has a hidden zipper in the side.

This dress came to me new with tags, I have used it twice and now washed it for the first time.
